admin user no longer has access to Administration link! [by Office Manager]

Help:: admin user no longer has access to Administration link!
Hello everyone,

I recently started working at a clinic that has an OpenEMR 2.8.1 installation that they've been using for about a year and a half. They haven't been utilizing it to its fullest at all so far, basically just for storing basic patient information.

We wanted to start using the scheduling functionality, so yesterday I started playing around with it a bit. I was logged in as the admin user and wanted to remove the admin user from the scheduling list, so I unchecked the "Authorized" box under the admin account in the edit user menu. As far as I know that's all I changed in relation to the admin user. I changed some of the category colors in the calendar as well, but I can't see how that would have any relation to the problem.

After logging out and logging back in as admin it seems the account no longer has administrative powers. The "Administration" link no longer shows at the top, and if I use the direct URL to Administration page all I can see is the log. I tried the direct link to the Database section and get "You do not have access to this resource."

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Jacob

OK, got it running. Make sure when installing to remove any previous PHP and MYSQL services... So you can use the ones from XAMPP or WAMP, either of the flavors are ok.

OE

Help:: New version
I see this is a very old thread. Still I hope somebody can help. I have installed a UBUNTU 8.04 server in a computer and have a workstation with Ubuntu 8.04 desktop. The communicate with each other nicely thru' SSH.

How do I go about installing openemr. Should I install in the server, if so how. I tried apt-get install openemr. I am not getting anywhere.

Thanks

Mani

Users:: Failure at 255 log entries
I am not a MySQL master, but I tested something out and it appears that MyISAM tables increment by some kind of pre-determined series of numbers (1,2234456,2234457,3454432,...), while InnoDB tables increment by 1 (1,2,3,4,5....). Is there something wrong in the way I set up MySQL or the files for OpenEMR? You can barely get through two patient visit before logging 255 log entries, so I must have done something wrong.

David

Help:: Unable to login when started Mandriva
It always helps to let us know which Operating System (Win XP Pro), OpenEMR version, Apache version, MySQL version, PHP version that you are running.

The usual OpenEMR default username is:

admin

and the default administrative password is:

pass

I believe from your post that you are using the VMWare Appliance by Dr. Brady Miller. From his web page the VMWare Appliance uses:

OpenEMR -> user: 'admin' password: 'pass'

http://www.bradymd.com/appliance/manual2/#0.0.0.0.0.0.List%20of%20Login%20Names%20and%20Passwords|outline

He has a fairly extensive manual on his web page about the use of OpenEMR with the virtual appliance.

Hope this helps.

Sam Bowen, MD
http://www.openemr.org/

Windows:: Fatal error: Call to undefined function: pg_pconnect() in C:\Program Files\xampp\htdocs\openemr\libr
Dear Dr. Guha,

pg_pconnect()

is a command used in PostgreSQL.

Likely, PostgreSQL is not installed or not running. Installation of PostgreSQL on a Windows operating system is harder than a straight install OpenEMR.

Your quickest answer will come fronm the SurceForge Users or Help Forum:

http://sourceforge.net/forum/?group_id=60081

PostgreSQL is only required if you are going to use the SQL-Ledger to handle billing and book keeping.

Sam Bowen, MD
http://www.oemr.org/
