It features support for EDI billing to clearing houses such as MedAvant and ZirMED using ANSI X12.
--------------------
Web Based Project Management Software

Openemr code editing [by Arun Chaudhary]

Users:: Openemr code editing
Hi
I am new to openemr. I am unable to figure out the code which I need to modify so that I can write my own scripts which can be run to control the database and not via the browser interface. And I should still be able to show the effect when I use the web interface.
Besides I want it to be automated i.e. automated entries by scripts rather than by web interface.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Thanx in advance
Arun

Users:: Failure at 255 log entries
I am not a MySQL master, but I tested something out and it appears that MyISAM tables increment by some kind of pre-determined series of numbers (1,2234456,2234457,3454432,...), while InnoDB tables increment by 1 (1,2,3,4,5....). Is there something wrong in the way I set up MySQL or the files for OpenEMR? You can barely get through two patient visit before logging 255 log entries, so I must have done something wrong.

David

Re: How do I get rid of the radio buttons? [by drbowen]

Users:: How do I get rid of the radio buttons?
Dear Brent,

In the file:

openemr/interface/globals.php

Look for this line (in my current version this line 57):

$GLOBALS['concurrent_layout'] = true;

And change to false.

I like the traditional view the best. To me the radio buttons on the
left seems to destroy the clean uncluttered look of OpenEMR that first
attracted me in the first place. However, for an experienced user, they
can speed up navigation quite a bit.

Sam Bowen, MD

Users:: OpenEMR security
Dear Dramin,

If I understand this correctly, this vulnerability occurs only when "Register Globals" is set to "on". However "Register globals" is required to be set to "off" for normal function of OpenEMR. This "Registered Globals" set to off has been the recommended PHP programming practice for sometime.

Currently, we do not recommend running OpenEMR on a public web server but recommend that it be used on a closed LAN. Additional security can be achieved by configuring Apache to run using SSL (ie the web pages should all begin with https:// ).

Rod Roark has addressed this and the fixes are available in the CVS version of OpenEMR and the upcoming 2.8.3 release.

Sam Bowen, MD

Users:: Sync calendar/appointments with pda, outlook
I don't think this currently exits as a feature but I will pass this along as a requested feature. I certainly would be useful for many who use PDAs.

Thanks for the idea,

Sam Bowen, MD
