Dear Brandon,

Sorry about the delayed response. I've been fighting a lot of fires here recently. I have seen a dramatic improved in system performace.

The client makes a big difference. The server clearly way outperforms a lot of the client machines ability to load the web pages.

Sam,

Hope things are going well.

I have started my own business based just outside of Charlotte North Carolina. I focus in Security and Open Source solutions. OpenEMR is one of the packages I hightly recommend to those out there trying to save money and not get taken by some of the new licensing schemes by many of the vendors.

One vendor in particular keeps trying to add that when you use their software they own everything you created. The Open Source community keeps finding it when they create the EULA (End User License Agreement) and then they take it out again. Over the past 3 years they have tried and failed 3 times :).

I wanted to see how your upgrade went. I am in the process of build a vmware image using Ubuntu 6.06.1 LTS Server to people can just plug and play. This should give people a choice as far as VM images to choose from.

Anyway hope your upgrade went well and the fires slow down a bit.

Thanks,

-brandon
