The number of downloads is easy to verify. However, the rough estimate of up to 10,000 medical facilities in the U.S. using OpenEMR raises eyebrows. Extrapolating that to 30,000 practitioners and 60 million patients (in the U.S. or the world?) is going to require a few more facts to substantiate the claim. I really want to believe the numbers and post the news on Open Health News. Can you elaborate more on the numbers, please?

I just wrote an article and posted it on Open Health News that might be of interest at http://www.openhealthnews.com/hotnews/key-health-it-systems-moving-final-phase-open-source-maturity-model One observation that I didn’t include in the article that might be of interest to the OpenEMR community is that many of the companies associated with the community actually don’t mention OpenEMR on their sites, or they just briefly touch on it. I believe this is a mistake, as the OpenEMR brand now carries increasing weight and ought to be stressed by each of your members, sponsors, etc. on their sites.
